KS - Paddock to Plate

KS at Calmsley Hill Farm

Last term during Science lessons Kindergarten engaged in a unit of work called “Paddock to Plate” where they learned all about where food comes from and the process it goes through to go from the farm to their houses.

This also linked in with their writing where they were learning to write information reports on farm animals and creating narratives that also used farm animals.

It was a very fun and busy term in KS and at the very end of term to link in with their Science unit we went on an excursion to Calmsley Hill Farm with the other Kindergarten class. We had a great day seeing all of the animals and we even got to go on a tractor ride!
