S1D Build a Bridge

The students were asked to design and make a new Harbour Bridge. As a class we brainstormed some materials that would be suitable for building a bridge that could hold several cars. The children worked with their shoulder partners to discuss what resources they would use. They used computers and paper to draw their designs.   These are some of their creations.  The children tested their bridges for strength and durability.
